Designers from various periods — Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol, Pierre Guariche, Maria Pergay, Alain Richard, and Louis Sognot — not only mastered the technical innovations of pendulums, pendants, and lamps of varying scales, materials, and purposes, but they also envisioned the unfolding stories of a setting through light.
