One of nine textile bas-reliefs commissioned in 1971 for Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Mortgage Guarantee Insurance Corporation (MGIC), the site-specific installation consists of three arched panels embellished with ivory-colored linen threads wrapped in gold metallic and linen yarns. The work is displayed in a way that foregrounds the reception area in front of it. It serves as a gracious entrance, inviting the visitor in, and almost incorporates the front desk worker into its landscape.
