October 17-22, 2023
Hotel de Maisons, Room 14
5 Rue de l'Université -  Paris 7ème

Paris, France–Demisch Danant is pleased to announce their participation in the inaugural exhibition of Design Miami/ Paris from October 17th - 22nd, 2023. Having played a foundational role in the inception of the Miami and Basel editions, the gallery is proud to accompany the Design Miami/ team in this milestone.

The booth will feature a selection of some of the rarest and most significant French designs from the 1950s-1970s, a testament to the gallery’s long-standing advocacy of this period. Thought of as a ‘best of Demisch Danant,’ the showcase will include masterpieces by Joseph-André MotteMaria PergayMichel BoyerAntoine Philippon and Jacqueline LecoqCésar and Roger Tallon, as well as a selection of rare lamps by historic French lighting firm, Verre Lumière, with pieces by Ben SwildensJean-Michel Chaudeurge, Jean-Paul Barray and Kim MoltzerÉtienne Fermigier and Alain Carré

Accompanying these works will be contemporary designs by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, whose practice is in alignment with that of the French creators who came before him.

In addition to the booth presentation, the gallery was invited to take part in the fair's Design at Large exhibition program with a presentation by Duchaufour-Lawrance's Lisbon-based studio, Made in Situ. Entrusted with imagining the fair’s Media Room, the prolific French designer will present a selection from his Azulejos and Burnt Cork collections. This showcase will echo his Made in Situ exhibition taking place that week at his own showroom in the Bastille neighborhood.
